My cursor disappears..

When I'm typing in anything, like this text box, approximately every 30 seconds or so, the cursor disappears and the top bar of the window goes grey. I have to re-click inside the textbox to continue typing. As you can probably imagine, this is highly annoying. Can anybody help me with this?
