M5010 lap top failure-15 months old !!!!!
Hi,
My M5010 lap top has completely died on me which is massively disappointing bearing in mind I only bought it at the end of September 2011 !
Have tried everything but it appears likely that it requires a new board.Sadly outside warranty.Disaster.
Looking up Sale of Goods laws,surely it should last more than 15 months.
Anybody experienced similar problems ?

Welcome to the Community,
Beeps sounds can be used as diagnostic indicator when system is not able to start normally.Number of beeps can help isolate the hardware which has failed.
Do you hear any beep sounds while trying to turn on the system?If yes,may I know how many beeps to you hear(may be 3 or 4 or 7)?

Sorry no beeps whatsover.No sounds at all.Feel a bit annoyed.Just paid £570 for another Dell prior to the fault ion my laptop.Lost confidence in Dell.

Sorry you're having issues with the system.It does look like an issue with the system board.
Since the system warranty has expired you may contact expired warranty support for further help.
