Lock Screen

I just bought a dell laptop with vista.  Whenever I close the computer, it sleeps like its supposed to.  But now when I open in, it makes me type control alt delete before entering my password.  It used to just go straight to the password screen.  This just takes time and bothers me to type in ctrl alt delete.  Is there some setting I can change to get it to go back to normal? Any help would be appreciated
