I have this same Laptop Model:  PPL and I too am experiencing the same problem.  It was working fine a few days ago but now it simply won't power up using the docking station or the AC cord.  Totally dead!  no lights, no noise, nothing!  Anyone out there have a clue as to the problem please enlighten us.....  Bad power supply? motherboard? ????

I am fairly new to laptops, but from what I've read, ther is a section in the mobo called power section or something like that (no pwr supply) that when it fails your system dies. Actually i found that browsing some acutions on ebay, namely laptop accesories. It appears to be an attachable part, so my get lcuky and replace it.
hope this helps,

Both the AC adapter Plug and the Battery Connector plus the circuits are part of the Mobo, and not a detachable part. If the power section goes, replace the Mobo or at least the right half(it is in two pieces joined together in the middle with press fit connectors and held in place with the aluminum frame) The part sitting on top of the AC Adapter connector is part of the sound system.
