Latitude 13 - How to boot from USB to reinstall Windows or boot another OS?
Hello, I've been using my Latitude 13 since a few weeks. I'm worried because it seens that booting from the USB is not allowed. How can I reinstall windows without a CD unit and without the possibility to boot from the USB? Is booting from USB really not allowed? What if I wish to boot another OS from the USB, as I usually do in any other computer? Please help. Thanks.

What makes you think that booting from USB is not allowed?

The USB does not appear in the boot list, although it appears in the BIOS configuration as a boot device. This makes me think (and be sure) it is not possible to boot from the USB.

The USB device will only appear in the boot list if what you've connected to the system is bootable - i.e., a CD or DVD drive with a bootable disc in it, or a bootable flash drive.

Hum, nice. I will try to connect the USB device and see what happens.
Just another doubt. How can I get an original copy of Windows if I need to reinstall it on my Latitude 13? Will DELL provide an installation disk or image?
Thanks
