Laptop keeps restarting
My xps 15 9550 keeps restarting itself. It started when I was running a program I used alot before with no problems then it just blackscreened then after a while it loads itself up but not before crashing again a few times either before, during or just after I log onto the device. No program or driver was updated just before the problem and after many attemps it decided to run long enough to allow me to run diagnostics and update anything not fully up to date but I still have the problem.

After the quick tests finished in diagnostic, you click hard drive and select Thorough Test Mode? You click Memory as well? If no, please follow steps below:
1. Power off system. Remove all peripherals ( except AC adapter)
2. Power on system, quickly start tapping F12 continuously until you see Preparing one time boot menu in the top right corner of the screen. In the boot menu, stroll down to Diagnostic and then click on it. After quick tests, click on Hard drive, and select Thorough Test Mode. Run Memory as well. Report back any error code.

If there isn't any error code:
Try booting to the sign-in screen and then hold the Shift key down while you select Power and Restart. After computer restarts to the Choose An option Screen, select Troubleshoot, Advanced options, and then run System Restore. The tool will restore your computer to a earlier point in time before the problem occurred.

Thanks for all the help, however it didnt work. When I ran the hard drive and memory test both passed without any error codes and the restore option won't work as I reinstalled windows 10 in the hope of fixing the problem.

I'm assuming you were successful in reinstalling windows 10?

Ya I installed it successfully, was surprised when I didnt have an internet driver but managed that. I also updated all the surgested drivers except the bios as I can't without the administration password. I am also the only user of the laptop and the bios password doesnt match my password
