Issues after spill on keyboard?

I think I might have ruined my laptop keyboard or my motherboard when I spilled a little bit of water on the left side of my keyboard.
It's been 9 days and it's still acting up.
I turned it off and removed the charger + battery as soon as it happened and cleaned the keyboard with a cloth and q-tips.
Then I put it upside down in a v-shape.
I didn't turn it on again until I thought it was dry and there was no smoke or burning smell.
It still semi-works but when I turn it on it goes to the boot up menu to tell me to run vista and beeps at me 3 or 4 times.
I select vista an then it boots up.
Then when it gets to my desktop it seems to be okay but the accent and shift key on the left side stick and they never stop typing.
It beeps at me when I try to type something.
The internet still comes up and it seems to run okay minus the keyboard and the beeps.
Does anyone know what is wrong?
Will I have to have the keyboard or motherboard replaced?

Replace the keyboard. If under warranty, call Dell but don't say you spilled something unless you have the Complete Care warranty. You can buy a keyboard from Dell or eBay (cheaper) and replace it yourself.
