Is 9-cell battery is better than 6-cell battery?
Hi Everyone,
I'm using Inspiron 1525, Windows Vista
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5850, 32-bit operating system, 3GB Ram....
My battery should be replaced as it was 3years old. Shall i go for 9-cell battery, instead of 6-cell battery?...
Whether the 9-cell battery is suitable for my laptop?... If it is, how can I find the right model battery and where can i get?...
If anyone knows about this, please suggest me...

Hi Shiwaa,
Welcome to the Dell Community.
You could opt for anyone of them, it depends on whats your need. More the number of cells in a battery, more back up time.
You can look up for the correct battery you need from this link: http://del.ly/6018R6SY
You can place the order online by selecting the region on the top left of the webpage or you can contact the sales team at the 1-800 for your region.

Here is a 9 cell for $24.99 http://cgi.ebay.com/Battery-fits-Dell-Inspiron-1525-9-cells-6600mAh-Black-/380333942886?pt=Laptop_Batteries&hash=item588dab6866 .
I get all my batteries from ebay ALWAYS cheaper and new with a 1 year warranty on most.

Hi Niranjan,
Thanks for your reply. I checked the link that you have sent me, but in my region(Australia) there is no 6-cell or 9-cell battery available for Inspiron 1525.
In the website, it shows only the AC Adapter not the battery.
But, I found Dell - 9-Cell 85 WHr Lithium-Ion Battery for Dell Inspiron 1520 Laptops, here is the link:
http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=au&l=en&s=dhs&cs=audhs1&sku=CPA-UW280&mfgpid=2103299&~ck=baynoteSearch&baynote_bnrank=0&baynote_irrank=0
My question is, whether all 15XX series Inspiron laptops has same battery or differ?... I mean 1520 battery will suit for 1525?...
I'm waiting for your reply.
Thanks and Regards,
Shiwaa.

The 1525 and 1520 DO NOT share a battery, no.
