Intel Display instead of NVIDIA Display

Hello

I have an Inspiron 15 7000 with a NVIDIA 960M Display as well as an Intel Display. I notice that it seems by default the Intel Display is the one you use and set the screen resolution by. Does the NVIDIA only take over when a game is being used? Is it possible to set the NVIDIA as the default display? I am using Windows 10.

If it is not in the BIOS, will it be added with a BIOS update?

Hi smkeating,

As we know the system has two video cards one is on board card (Intel)and another discrete card now as you discussed normally when the system is in regular use only the on board card works and takes care of the video displayed in the system, NVDIA only pitches in only when there is high end graphics used on the system .you can always turn off the on board graphics by booting the system in BIOS under video you have a option says switchable graphics if you check that and save the settings then the system should use only the NVDIA card not the Intel graphics but if you check in control panel you can see on board its self as it the main GPU on the motherboard.

If you dont find the switchable graphics option then you cannot turn it off.
