Inspiron Rubber Feet fall off

I have an Inspiron 600m

The rubber foot on the battery has fallen off after 6 months.

(My old Inspiron 5000 also had several feet fall off.)

Any idea on how or whether rubber feet on laptops can be replaced?

Thanks

yes the rubber feet can be replaced.  just call dell tech support and they should send you a new set.

It depends on the foot itself.  Some systems the rubber bottom feet cannot be replaced by tech support, they're considered part of the bottom plastics.  For those you'd have to call the repair depot or spare parts for the correct part numbers

Via email, Dell Tech support says they are sending replacement rubber "feets" (sic).

The confirmation emails include my service tag and one of my many many Dell customer numbers (another whole issue).  Emails instruct me to check the status on support site, but using either number yields no results.  A lousy system which I'm just gonna ignore and wait for my feets to arrive.

Thanks for the help.

They sent me 4 rubber feet.  They said they wanted the old ones returned.  I didn't return them and they sent me a bill for $20.

The new rubber feet do not stay stuck to the 600m.  2 more of the old rubber feet have fallen off in the meantime.

The rubber feet of my old Inspiron 5000 also fell off.

I don't think they have mastered the technology of rubber feet yet.
