How many HDD bays does the Dell Studio 1558 have?
Hello, I am thinking of purchasing a Dell Studio 1558 soon. And I was wondering how many HDD bays it had, because I am thinking to install my 64GB Solid State Labtop drive in it and run Win 7 off of that, and use the 500GB Sata drive given to be the "Slave Drive" and the SSD to me the "Master". Does it have two drive bays, and support Master and Slave settings? Thanks
Reply soon! :)

One bay, one internal hard drive. If you want to do this on a 15" notebook, you need a Latitude.

^ So all of the 15+ Latitude's have 2 HDD bays.. And also as I thought doing this upgrade will void the warrenty? Even if you purchase the extended? Do any of the 2 bay, 15', Latitude have the Intel Core i Series? (i5,i7) Thanks! - Patrick

The E6510 has the i5. While Dell won't support your configuration, it won't void your hardware warranty.

Besides the Latitude line is there any other brand/ line that has 2 HDD bays and the Intel Core i5, i7? And under 1000$ without upgrades? -Thanks, Patrick

Very few consumer-grade notebooks with a 15" chassis support two internal hard drives. If you're looking for that feature, go for a 17" model.
