how do I get AOL off this computer, not add/remove program

Anyones help would be much appreciated.  I have Bellsouth.net as my e-mail and internet explorer as my provider.  Every time I try to send something through a website my computer tries to install AOL.  I do not use and don't want this.  Why can't it default to my Bellsouth account?  I am not great with computers so I haven't figured out how to do this.  thanks in advance, Katie

Your question is software and should be posted on the Software - Other forum, this forum is for Inspiron Hardware issues.

Internet Explorer is a browser that is part of Windows.  It is NOT your provider.  BellSouth is likely your provider (i.e. ISP), and why you have email through them.  I suspect you have a high speed DSL connection?

Click on Tools, Connections in IE and click the button that says "Never Dial".  Then, under Tools, Programs, make sure your email program says Outlook or Outlook Express, whichever you use.
