Hard Drive Not Detected ? Help ?

So what happened is my laptop got dropped and I turned it on and it said no bootsble devices and gave me options like f1 to retry or hit f5 for diagnostics and f2 for system info or something so I ran the diagnostics and it came up with an error , so I called the dell company and stayed on the phone with someone and they said it was the hard drive so they sent me a new one and I self installed it and when  I put the new one in it does the same no bootable device thing and I run diagnostics it says hard drive not installed ! I have been fighting with this for days and this computer is how I work on school work so I am so behind in my online classes any help will do , :( please and thank you!!

I like to suggest you check if the new hard drive is detected in BIOS. Please follow steps below:

1. Turn off computer

2. Power off computer, quickly tap the F2 key continuously. You should be in the BIOS

The new hard drive should be listed under the main screen , look for Fixed HDD.  If the hard drive isn't listed in BIOS, reset BIOS defaults. Press F9 to load defaults and F10 to Save and Exit. Please reseat the hard drive, hopefully the computer boot normally

If the new drive isn't seen -- and the original isn't either, check to make sure it's firmly connected.  If it is, chances are something else suffered damage - likely the mainboard - in the accident.
