E5570 - WIN10PRO - Wake up from sleep/hibernate = Black screen or no responding keyboard/touchpad
My e5570 has the following isse.
When I put it to sleep or when it go's to sleep and I turn it on again the screen stays black.
If I have a screen it does not respond to the keyboard or touchpad. It does respons to my external mouse.
Do others have this issue?
This way I'm forced to shutdown the laptop every time...

Same issue here....brand new, had it about a week. I've tried several different power/hibernate settings without success. Screen shuts off as expected, but it doesn't reawaken...laptop is on and running, screen stays dark. Rebooting is only option.

Same issue here. Also brand new. Is there a solution for this? What does DELL say?

I have windows 7 installed on my e5570. So that is not the solution I think.

Workaround that works is bassing the FN + Screen keys.
It force the local display on once that option gets hit.
It's frustrating but works. So no more forced shutdowns.

Any other workarounds? Tried this, didn't work for me; still had to power off completely.

Found a workaround that so far has worked a full 24 hrs for me.
Set up the Blank screen saver for however long is appropriate (I did 30 min), and set power settings so that the screen is dimmed after however many minutes, but NEVER turned off while on AC power.
We'll see how this goes... :emotion-7:
EDIT: So far so good, several days straight without having to power off. Would suggest this as an answer but it's only a workaround, underlying issue seems to be related to power management for the screen.

Updated the laptop yesterday to the latest drivers.
F6 drives and the new 1.5 BIOS.
Problem still exists...
@DELL
Are you even on this issue?
It's terribly quiet from your side on you OWN support forum...

We have an E5570 - Win 7 64bit Enterprise with the latest BIOS exhibiting symptoms reported here
Her previous laptop (E5450) did not have this problems on the same dock with the same peripherals.
I have seen this issue before on the E5550s and it required a Synaptics Firmware update, but I do not see that update available for the E5570.
Tried the latest BIOS, Intel and Dell Display drivers...same issue
This type of issue is pretty apparent for a lot of newer Dell systems...

Same issue here with a 7270. Wake up from sleep gives a blank lock screen and the keyboard/mouse don't work. Plug in a external keyboard and I can login. But the keyboard/mouse still don't work until I reboot.
Why isn't anyone at Dell responding. This seems like a wide spread issue.

I have the same issue on e5570 windows 10 pro. Updated BIOS, drivers, etc... no such luck. Some workarounds are fine, but issue persists w/o true resolution.

Having this issue on at least 15 new Dell Laptops all running Windows 10, all 7270's and 5570's. No issues if they are running Windows 7 it seems.

I haven't seen any 7270s having the issue yet. May want to start another thread on that matter. Be sure to specify the exact configuration being used, monitors and all.
