Dual Monitor Docking Station Problems

We have Latitude D610 - D630's using the D series docking station and port replicator. We are setting up dual monitors, ranging from 17" to 20", with one using a digital cable and one using an analog cable, due to the ports on the port replicator. With this setup we're able to have the 2 monitors work on initial setup. Here's where we're having problems.

1. Shut down the computer while in the docking station.
2. Take out of docking station and power on and login to computer. Screen comes up normal (only laptop screen). Shut down computer.
3. Put back into docking and power on. You only get the analog screen to come up with the login screen.

You can login to the computer and manually resetup the dual monitors. However, we want the dual monitor setup to work. We've tried setting up a 'docked' and 'undocked' profile and have the user select the correct profile upon bootup, but that's not working either. We've run out of ideas and are wondering if this option is available. It doesn't look like you can add a dual monitor card into the port replicator, so don't think that's an option either. Anyway, any info would be helpful.

Thanks in advance,
Randy Hall

Have you changed the bios option for graphics card? There is an option in there for the default graphics card to be used when the machine is docked, the default factory setting is to use the dock graphics card but I believe for proper multiple monitor support you need to change this option to use the laptop's graphics card (onboard).
