Delphi error message

My computer has been working fine up until now, and when I just tried to launch some applications, the following error message pops up and disables my entire computer:  "This module was compiled with a trial version of Delphi.  The trial period has expired."

I have no idea what this is.  I have not installed any software by this name.  I have no idea how to correct this so that I can use my computer again.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Delphi is a Rapid Application Development programming environment that uses Pascal.

Some program you installed was made with this compiler. Uninstall the program (module) that is giving the error

Not much to go on but you must have installed some program that is causing this message.

1. Click Start

2. Click Run

3. Type MSCONFIG

4. Click Ok

5. The System Configuration Utility window will appear

6. Click the Startup Tab

7. Uncheck anything related to Delphi (better yet uncheck any unnecessary items)

You can refer to this link for the list of startup items

Just FYI there is a post in the Windows XP Forum relating to the same error message as a result of someone downloading Hamster mp3...never heard of it myself.

Go to this web page. It tells what caused it and how to get rid of the problem. I just did it and now I have no problem.   http://bdn.borland.com/article/0,1410,31856,00.html
