Dell E6420 lost WWAN device after bios upgrade.

I have E6420 model with Windows 7, very old bios and with Sierra Wireless WWAN card. Everything was working fine.

Before installing Windows 10, I decided to upgrade the bios. I first had to install A05 bios and then A23.

After this, device manager does not see any device releated to WWAN. If I install Dell or Sierra software, they claim the hardware is not present. Any ideas? I do not see any unknown devices, so I don´t see any hardware IDs either.

I'd suggest you type Troubleshooting Control Panel onto [Cortana] search box, click on 'View All ', and then Network Adapter. Please run other troubleshooting tools as mark.

In Device Manager, stroll down to 'Network Adapter' and then expand it. Hopefully you'll  see WLAN card.

Dell doesn't list any windows 10 drivers for your system however, you might be able to install windows 8 Dell WLAN card and see if that works on system. I suggest you create a restore point before installing. Please click on link below, check the correct operating system (8,64 bits or 8,32 bites), and then expand Network.

I can easily jump between Windows 7 and Windows 10 systems. I tried some of Dell´s own WWAN drivers, but they all claimed the device not present.

You mean Dell Support page would not let you install WLAN file?  Or you indeed installed file successfully but don't see it in Device Manager or either Downloads and Documents folders? If you see the WLAN file in Downloads or Document, you will have to right click on it and Run as Administrator to be present on computer.
