Hi,
Welcome to the Community. Please mention your system model when posting on the forum. Do you mean the touchpad cursor is locked? On some systems you can disable the touchpad by accident, its usually a key combination of the Fn key and one of the function keys ( system model would have helped here ). Try connecting an external USB mouse to see if that works.
