Broken laptop charger - Dell Inspiron 15 5547

Hi, sorry for the really basic question  -

I bought my laptop less than a year ago (so still under warranty) and the charger just broke. Is this covered under the normal warranty? Could someone direct me to where I should be looking to replace the charger?

Thank you!

You can try online chat (use the contact link at the bottom of the screen).  However, if the connector is physically broken, in all likelihood you're going to be told it's either user abuse or accidental damage, which isn't covered by the warranty.  All you can do is try - just be prepared for that.

Is there no way of just doing it online?

The adapter is physically broken (part of the charger.. head.. thing detached) but it wasn't due to any physical damage - just happened through normal use.

If "broke" didn't involve physical damage to the adapter, yes, it'll be covered.  Start by calling your local Dell support number.

Thank you for your help. I do not have access to a phone right now so I will probably have to just buy a new one.

Could you possibly direct me to where in the store website to purchase a compatible charger? I am having some difficulty finding where they are on the site.
