Battery discharges quickly
Dear All,
With my laptop battery, previously I could operate about 8 hours.
But, very recently, this has dropped to about 2 hours.
As per my observation, this happened suddenly.
I'd be much thankful, if anyone could help me in solving this.
My model number is - Inspiron 7359 2-in-1
- Anuradha

I guess, I could solve the problem by a system restore.
Thus, as per my understanding, it's not a hardware problem.
Anyway, will update in few days.

When did you buy the laptop?

Before the system restore, the laptop was getting heated. The fan was operating fast, even when the laptop is idle. So, some software issue has gone wrong. As soon as the system restore, I knew that the problem has settled as I noticed that the fan speed has come to normal.
Luckily I had a system restore point, and I noticed the problem soon.
Else I would not be able to solve this problem

Now it's some time following system restore. The problem looks settled. So, it's not a hardware issue. I love my laptop as it could operate almost a day with it's inbuilt battery.
If somebody could identify this software related issue, it'd be much helpful.
I'm operating on windows 10 and ms security essentials. I updated and scanned the system, and couldn't find any malware. I checked the windows firewall. I checked the in-coming and outgoing data traffic.
Couldn't find anything suspicious.
