Isilon data migration
Hi team,
I am migrating data from Isilon to PowerScale using SyncIQ and I have couple of questions :
1. When i am creating policy, is it OK to create single policy for entire root directory so all the underline directories get copied to target ? Any concern in doing this way ?
2. How can I migrate snapshots & snapshot config to target powerscale ?

Please correct me if my statement is wrong, but snapshots as well as snapshot config cannot be synced...
If your migration is due to hardware renewal (replace old Isilon nodes with newer Powerscale nodes), then you could also scale out the current cluster with the new nodes, migrate the data to the new pool, then evict the old nodes from the cluster. All the cluster config (shares, auth sources, etc.), including snapshots, should remain intact. Thats what I suppose at least...
This works only of course, if all your nodes - old and new - have a common supported OneFS version that lets you join them together into one cluster. And you might get some tech-deepdive into combining the old Infiniband backend with the new ethernet based backen...
Again, please correct me if I'm wrong!

No, in my scenario, I am migrating data from old Isilon to new PowerScale so node replacement option is not there.
Regarding snapshots, even just snapshots can not be migrated ?

Is there any planning template available to migrate data from one Isilon to PowerScale ? What all details needs to collect from source to get all the things working as is on target array after migration ?
