HTTPS access to user files

hello all

next conundrum here at my work.

I have a folder that is shared /ifs/site/systems/tier/video and accessible via SMB, the application now has a web client and a requirement for the files via HTTPS.  This hasn't been shared with our remote partners but there are plans in the new year for this to happen.

I have enabled HTTPS and ensured the root directory is /ifs/site.

I unable to access the files via HTTP or HTTPs, I have selected integrated authentication

The main documents I found detail turning it on but not how to use it.   So my question to the group is how do you get clients to access the files via HTTPS.  Have I missed something obvious?
