Upgrade memory and ssd for Dell inspiron N4050
I have a old Dell inspiron N4050. I want to upgrade RAM and SSD of this laptop. Now, I have some queries about this.
1. Can I extend more 8GB RAM?
2. What is the max speed of RAM that my laptop is supported?
3. What is the max capacity of SSD that my laptop is supported?
My Computer Specs:
Processor: Intel Core i5 2450M CPU 2.50GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3.
Hard Disk: 500GB.
OS: windows 7 (64 bit)
Thanks.

1. You can install up to 8G RAM, but not more than 8.
2. 1066 MHz (faster RAM will simply downclock).
3. Any 2.5" SSD will work.

The system officially supports 8G RAM. While the processor may be capable of supporting more, that may require a system with more memory slots - it appears 4G is the maximum per-module capacity for this system, which is now about a decade old. At that point, support for 8G/module was a very rare thing.
You are welcome to try, but it's highly likely either the system won't boot with more memory, or it won't show more than 8G total.

@ejn63 Thank you for response. I must want to upgrade my laptop from safe zone. Because I don't want to waste my money. But I am really sorry, I am little confiused to your answer.
Is that mean, my laptop can't work with (4+8)G RAM? If the answer is "yes". I want to know another question from my curiosity.
I searched in intel website by my processor name to know about max capability of RAM. I got this.
I also try to know this using my cmd. I got this.
Here max capacity in kilo bytes. Then the question is,
Thank you again.

@sahed Your pc supports upto 16GB of RAM (1333MHz -> Speed ) and you can go for an upgrade of your PC's RAM ...try to install the RAM sticks in the combination of 8GB+8GB ( So toal you will have a 16GB of RAM .. Remember that your RAM supports Maximum speed of 1333MHz .Dont try to install 4GB+8GB combination of RAM , as it can FLASH your sreen and cause your motherboard to crash .If you want to install 8GB RAM then use combination of 4GB+4GB ( Same RAM sticks ).

Your system will only take second gen core I CPUs -- i.e., i3 2375M. You can't use a subsequent generation (i3-3220, etc.).
