Uefi boot is missing

I have a dell inspiron 15 3511 laptop bought around 3 years ago. The laptop was working fine till around 2 months ago. It started when I used a lower power adapter by mistake, then I started to have boot problems. I'm not sure if the use of the lower power adapter is the cause of the boot problem.

The following itmes are tried:

1- When turning-on the computer, I have the following message: Install driver to show hardware.

2- When I use the media installation USB, it allow me to start the installation till seaching for the disk to install-on. Only the disk used for the media installation is detected.

3- On the boot configuration (when selecting F12) I can see

a- the UEFI TOSHIBA MQO1ABF050 84RRCQNT (which is the installed SSD SATA drive)

b- UFEI HTTPS BOOT

4- On the storage page, we can see the SATA SSD and the M.2 PCIe SSD. ( I added recently the M.2 hopping to be able to boot the system)

5- I tried to reset the battery and CMOS coin battery, but was not able to find the location of the CMOS battery on this laptor.

I tried many other approaches, but was not able to resolve this problem.

Any help on clarifying how to access the boot system is highly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,

Chakerma

Go into setup (F2 at powerup) and disable IRST (Intel rapid storage/RAID).  Save and restart -- the installer will then find the drive.

@ejn63

Thanks a lot for the advise. The proposed solution worked perfectly. I checked for sometimes on the internet for solution, but did not find one till now.

Thanks again.
