Replacement for an Inspiron 1545 battery
All,
I'm from India and looking to replace the battery for my Inspiron 1545 laptop.
Below are the specs of my old battery which is now completely dead.
Any help with be greatly appreciated since I have been struggling to find a battery currently available in India that will be compatible with my old 1545 laptop.

You're not going to find anything new and original equipment - Dell ceases battery sales once a system hits five years old (if not before). Anything OEM you find will be on the order of four years old or more.
Look for a third party battery -- at least you have a chance at the cells being new.

Given that the system is almost a decade old, it's likely not going to be possible to find an OEM battery for it. That said, if you look at Amazon (in the US; presumably in India as well) there are many suppliers offering third-party batteries for it. Choose one with a good track record.
Even if you could find and OEM battery, it'll either be old stock, or it'll cost nearly $100US -- or about twice what this system is worth.

Thank you for your time and the update. Are there any other compatible batteries with this specific model ? Dell support suggested to look for batteries with part number 65x8n or n586m. I guess both might be outdated ones. Thank you again for checking for me !
