PCI encryption/decryption controller show exclamation mark, inspiron 3147 laptop
I've been trying to update this old computer to the latest Windows 10 version which will supposedly work, but it keeps failing. So, in the course of updating drivers, I found a problem with the above one which may be holding up the update. When I go to properties, I get an error message, "The drivers for this device are not installed. There are no compatible drivers for this device. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver." When I try to update it, I get a blue screen. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Are you updated to the newest version of BIOS? Sometimes that helps.

I have updated the Bios, run the Intel Driver and Support Assistant, installed a couple of updates suggested for my computer, though the Dell Wireless 1708 Wi-Fi Driver did not install, and used one of the driver finder programs to try to update. That resulted in the usual blue screen of death and a lengthy sytem repair. Not sure what else to try. This issue is probably causing the Windows 10 update to fail so I would like to fix it. Otherwise, the computer is working fine. It is old but hasn't been used heavily, mostly a travel computer.
Thanks!
