No Bluetooth with My Inspiron 5505
Inspiron 5505
Hi Everybody,
I recently installed a fresh copy of Windows 11 on my Inspiron 5505. Bluetooth was working fine then stopped working. I think it may have been after installing all of the AMD drivers or perhaps BIOS update. I have one suspect in my device manager, Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor request failed).
This what is under device status:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
A request for the USB device descriptor failed.
I have installed the latest Intel Bluetooth driver. Uninstalled the suspect driver, even uninstalled and re-installed all the host bus controllers.
It's device instant path is: USB\VID_0000&PID_0002\6&231DEFE0&0&3
I desperately rely on BLuetooth and the fact it was working and now is not is killing me.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeffrey

Did you first install the chipset drivers here? If not, install them and then install the bluetooth drivers.
To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.
