my laptop screen has horizontal lines in the middle
I have an issue with my dell Inspiron 3543 I was working on my laptop and then 1 white line appeared in the midlle of the screen as the days went by it multiplied and now I have over 10 lines how do i fix it?

You can definitively confirm the fault by running a screen diagnostic - hold D through powerup. If the fault appears on the test screens (it almost certainly will), the screen must be replaced.
If it does not (small chance) then the GPU is the problem, and it's the mainboard you will need to replace.

The "flex" testing is not part of our LCD panel troubleshooting path. As far as I know, LCD panel flex testing is only done by our laptop manufacturer on the build lines prior to Dell ever receiving the laptop.
For an LCD panel line issue, we would present the LCD BIST (Built-in Self Test).

should I do it after pressing the power button or before that mean pressing the power button while holding the power button

To initiate the screen test, press and hold the D key. Then power on the system, holding the D key down until the self-test starts.

This can help you
Horizontal lines on laptop screen Fix, Solve it within few minutes
I was facing this issue because of software problem so i solved it.
If the problem is because of software then you can solve it
You can try some troubleshooting i have mentioned the article you can follow it and solve your problem.
If the problem is because of any hardware issue then you have to replace the display.
