Inspiron 7000 1TB (+8GB SSHD) Hybrid Drive, battery
I got a warning message saying Hard Drive failure and it linked me to the Dell ordering page that displayed two PCI-E style options. I lost that link and cleared the message, so not sure which ones.
But when I opened it up, all I see is a 5400rpm spin Drive. My service tag clearly indicates I have the 1TB (+8GB SSHD) Hybrid Drive.
I already bought the 2.5 SSD last week by chance. Always wanted to replace it since the computer runs so slow, and it never worked properly since day 1.
So can I just replace it with the either 2.5" SSD or PCI-E SSD?
and another question is the battery. Does this look normal to you?

Did some research on SSHD and now I understand it is integrated.
If I get a PCI-E SSD, would it work as a standalone HD? Can I remove the 2.5" SSHD?

Yes, though to be definitive about the type of M.2 drive you need, we need the full model number - Inspiron 7559, 7565, etc.
And that battery is swollen -- it needs to be replaced and disposed of ASAP.
