Inspiron 15 7559 detecting incorrect HDD

Hi my dell inspiron laptop stopped booting up due to me attempting to format an external hard drive on it. That hard drive is now unavaliable and my laptop is now attempting to use that HDD instead of the on board one. This has resulted in the laptop shutting down due to no boot up device and I haven't been able to fix it. Any help would be a god send

You should be able to change the boot sequence in the BIOS (F2 at the Dell splash screen). Make sure that Windows Boot Manager is the first boot device. Just wondering though, and it has happened to many users before, are you sure you did not accidentally format your boot drive?

@JOcean

I can't the images @Jmanbraus  posted.

But I am thinking that he formatted his main hard drive.

I can't see them either until moderator approved, but my hunch is exactly what you suggested. I have seen more than a few users do that exact same thing if they are not really paying attention.

It's completely possible that I did format my drive seeing its is me. Though I accidentally also deleted my window boot manager so currently I am going to try to repair the bootloader with a usb with the window os. @JOcean
