How do I take screenshot in BIOS?

I am using Dell Inspiron 5559 signature edition. I need some screenshots of the BIOS to help my friend. Please don't post solution like "get a good quality camera and click photo" since I believe screenshots are far better than photos.

The BIOS interface would have to support it, and I don't know if it does.  But I agree that your best shot is to connect a FAT32-formatted flash drive and then press PrintScr to see if a file ends up on that flash drive.  If not and you don't have a vPro setup that would allow remote access even at the BIOS interface where you could take a screenshot from the remote access client, then it's probably not possible, in which case the smartphone camera is the way to go.  I agree that screenshots look better and deliver smaller file sizes, but if support isn't there, then it isn't there.

It seems Dell BIOS doesn't allow screenshots. But I believe Dell can introduce this feature.

Sure, as long as they also implemented support for reading and writing to a flash drive or hard drive to store them, as well as adding some sort of code to add JPEG encoding, etc.  It's not as simple as you might think, and as with any new feature, the value has to be weighed against the effort to develop, test, and support it.  Even features that seem minor end up requiring a surprising amount of effort to implement when you take all of that into account.  So I personally doubt you'll ever see this, mostly because the use cases where screenshots of the BIOS would be useful are already relatively minor, which makes the "take a photo" workaround seem more acceptable.  I also don't know of any other BIOS interfaces on other systems that support this, but I admittedly haven't looked into it.

@deve97  The question here was specifically about how to take a screenshot in the BIOS Setup interface. Your link discusses how to take screenshots within Windows.

Thanks for the tips given here.  I tried using a FAT32 formatted USB stick, but still was unable to get a screenshot.  Ended up just having to use my cell phone.  I have an Inspiron 15 5585 running Windows 10.
