Google chrome can’t display pages, after Dell BIOS update

I have upgraded my BIOS version on April 13th, after being prompt for a few days by the Dell Update app (so now my bios is  "DELL-1072009 , 1.8.0").

Ever since the update, google chrome can't display any webpage (I get the error message of "Oh snap, something went wrong while displaying this webpage"). FireFox and Edge do work properly, though slowly, and my google chrome version is updated...

I called my local official Dell support, who guessed(!) it was due to Windows Firewall blocking chrome, and that I call Microsoft for help. So I made sure it's not blocked by the firewall, but the problem is not fixed.

The local Dell support said they don't know about any issues with the current, but in this very forum I found more people having problems with the current BIOS version [See links below], as well as similar problems with previous BIOS updates.

Does Dell even know about the problems in the new BIOS release? are they trying to fix it? How / can I even return to an older BIOS version?

My Laptop is Inspiron 7560 ,  i7-7500U , 64-bit Windows 10 OS.

And is there any better ways to get their attention to this problem?

Have you found a solution yet?

I have been trying for months to get Chrome to work again, checking all the items you mention and then some. I still can't get Chrome to load pages.

I've even been with Google support several times, and they know there is a random issue with Chrome not loading pages, but have not found a solution.

So, since DELL itself has caused 2 of my other recent problems, I though to look here, and sure enough, there it is ANOTHER DELL created problem.

DELL come on - post a fix for this - I don't like using EDGE - I want Chrome working on my DELL as it did when I first purchased it 14 months ago.

Are you one of those that did a suggested BIOS update from DELL and started to have problems?  You take chances in performing that update at your own RISK.........Loooong story short.

Did you COMPLETELY uninstall Chrome, for example?  Have you cleared ALL your Cache?

Have you performed, "Disk Cleanup?  There are 3 steps to that.

Then try and reinstall latest Chrome.    Just saying
