Goodix Fingerprint device not found - Dell Inspiron 7577

Used to, but after uninstalling it and rebooting, it didn't appear and ive since been unable to manually install it back with Dell specific 7577 goodix update. 

Any other help?

You need to contact Dell if you want tech support.

Does the fingerprint device show up in Device Manager?

Is it a Hidden Device in Device Manager?

I am guessing a Windows 10 update "broke" the fingerprint device sensor.

Is there a newer chipset driver?

I am confused because if the fingerprint sensor shows up in Device Manager, it makes no sense that you would get "Goodix Fingerprint Device not found".

I have checked that but only the face biometric is available. not fingerprint. 

It used to be in hidden, but now it is available in Device Manager. Either way I do know the hidden device option.

I wasn't able to use the face device as well. But it is ok. Just wanna reactivate my finger print sensor which i have been using since the day of purchase.

Its the Hello Face recognition that appears under Biometric Devices, not goodix fingerprint device.

Even so the latest driver for 7577 Goodix was dated in 2018, whereas other laptops have had newer updates.

In addition to installing the fingerprint driver, the fingerprint function also needs to install the fingerprint software. You download and install the fingerprint software and run it to try it. After the installation is complete, check the simplepass option in the desktop or start menu program and select it. Windows8 or Windows8.1 pass win+Q Open the search and enter simplepass to find the software startup.

May I know where to download the goodix software which is compatible with Dell? There is no Goodix software on their official site or Dell site. There is only Goodix Driver available. Pls advise. Thanks.
