G15 not charging?
About a month ago, for Christmas i received a G15 gaming laptop. Currently it’s dead and the charging light is not turning on. The black box (i believe it’s called the adapter?) has a green light so is the problem my computer? I think a few nights ago i fell asleep with it plugged in all night could that have damaged it? A few times i’ve also used a chrome book charger on it, was it that? Any help appreciated, thank you!

1) Power off your laptop. 2) Unplug the AC adapter and the battery from your laptop. 3) Press and hold the power button on your laptop for 20 seconds to release the residual power in you laptop. 4) Re-connect the battery and the AC adapter to your laptop

Could you answer the following questions for me to understand the issue better?
a. Do you have an alternate laptop available? If yes, connect your Dell charger to this alternate system and check if it works fine.
b. Does wiggling the charging pin inside the system's charging port impact the issue?
c. As you mentioned you used a chrome book charger, do you have access to this charger? If so, could you connect and check if the system charges and powers on?
d. When the power button is pressed, do you see any signs of power?
• Anything on the screen (other than monitor self-test images)
• Lit or blinking power LED
• Lit or blinking status/diagnostic LEDs
• Beep codes or other sounds

Hi Jesse L,
I have a similar problem. In my case, my laptop does not begin to charge when I plug it in (the charing light on the laptop does not switch on). This is when the laptop is shut down.
When I switch on the laptop, it begins to charge and the charging light comes on. Is this a software issue?
