Fedora installation on dell

Some time back I purchased dell inspiron 3593(i3-1005G1/4 GB/ 1 TB/ 15.6" screen-thick bezels )

After spending some time with this Laptop I found out that Windows 10 is nothing but a piece of garbage forced down the throat of people unnecessarily. It's just that there are so many problems with this OS that I want to get rid of it anyhow.

So I want to ask in plain and simple language that CAN I install fedora on this laptop and will I have the full driver for it as well so that there  no problems with Rj-25 port USB port, wifi bluetooth etc.,

My bios is 100% similar to the bios shown in this video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kv82a1-TyqU

If your system lacks the ability to boot in legacy/CSM mode -- many new systems do -- Ubuntu would be a better choice unless Fedora has improved its UEFI support very recently.

I appreciate your help ejn63

So If Ubuntu can be intsalled then I can also do a linux mint or debian installation right?

I think both of these don't have very complete UEFI implementations -- tread carefully.

If you have a UEFI-only system, your best bet is Ubuntu.  Just about all the others are significantly behind in UEFI support.

It has been a while since your question, but I am going to reply anyway, It maybe help full to others as well. The exact model of Dell Inspiron 3593 Laptop is sold in Asia (India, Turkey etc.) with Ubuntu 18.4 LTS pre-installed. I am writing this text on the same laptop with Ubuntu. I did upgrade it to Ubuntu 20.4 LTS within the OS with "apt distupgrade" command (forgot the exact command, you can google it) and still works perfectly. You can even find a recovery image for Ubuntu 18.4 on dell website. So Ubuntu is guaranteed to work perfectly with this Dell laptop and many other Dell models. I hope you had a successful Fedora Installation, please share your experience as I want to try this laptop with Fedora, Just not a big fan of Ubuntu.
