Display Problem on new Dell Inspiron 7490!

My Dell Inspiron 7490 is two months old. The display sometimes makes a jerky sideways movement and comes back to normal almost instantly. I convinced myself to ignore this issue.

But today while starting my laptop, this weird pattern has started coming up on my screen. Does anyone have any idea what it is about?

I am really worried because this is a new laptop which I've invested a lot on and I need it for my work from home. I appreciate any help from you, dear community members.

First thing that comes to mind would be the RAM. Re-seating the RAM modules can help clear up the problem. Afterwards, run a full memory diagnostic check (Windows, Memtest86 or the Dell Diagnostics) to ensure that the RAM is functioning properly. If the check fails, you'll likely have to replace the faulty module.

If the memory passes and you still have issues, you probably have a defective display panel, or a loose/bad connection in the cable running from the motherboard to the panel. While you can probably easily re-seat the display connector on the motherboard, I don't advise that you disassemble the display as that will likely void your warranty. If possible, try connecting an external monitor or a TV to the laptop and verify that the problem exists there. If it doesn't, then the display panel is likely at fault.
