Dell inspiron 24 5000 i7 brand new/cannot update to windows11/also cannot install Fedora 35 linux

Dell inpiron 24 5000 AIO i7 quad at 2.80ghz. Update to windows 11 says I need at least a 1ghz processor?

Also, I cannot install Fedora 35 Linux. I need a way to either boot from a 2.5" SSD that has fedora on it, or, wipe the nvme to allow Linux to install.

5000 is a series and not an exact model number. Please post the exact model number so that correct information can be posted by the forum community.

Now Windows 11 has been noted to fail (a bug) the update install due to the CPU speed read as lower than 1 GHz. The workaround is to download the media creation tool here (second choice) and install from the bootable USB installation drive that is created. Using that method Windows 11 bypasses the CPU check as confirmed and encouraged by Microsoft.

But depending on your model there may be a BIOS update that will correct the detection bug occurring in Windows 11.
