Dell 7577 Discharging / Plugged in not charging while Gaming

Hello, I have a Dell 7577 that comes with a Gtx1050ti and a 130w Adapter. I'm experiencing an issue ever since I bought this laptop, that is my laptop's battery draining while gaming even tho it's plugged in. Sometimes it says "Plugged in, not charging" or "Discharging". The thing is I'm only playing light games like dota2, csgo and still experiencing this issue, that's why I haven't installed any heavy games yet. Clearly 130w Adapter isn't enough to power up the 1050ti. I recently read a thread in which people said that Dell is sending 180w Adapters to customers who requested to change their previous 130w Adapters, so where do I make such a request? Any help will be appreciated, Thanks!

What fixed my problem was getting the laptop cleaned from the inside, I no longer get the FPS drops. 130W seems to be working fine ever since. Sorry for all the trouble caused.

Dear Moderator, I have sent you the service tag as you asked but I never mentioned in my post that my laptop has battery issues. That is a completely different matter. This post is all about the laptop Adapters, would you be kind enough to read my post entirely and give me a proper resolution? Thanks.

I don't have any battery or adapter issues, the simple thing is that 130w Adapter is not sufficient enough to power-up my Dell 7577 laptop while gaming. I've seen people complaining and getting a new 180w Adapter for themselves for free. Where do I make such a request? that is my question.

Sarshar,

Unfortunately, that is the adapter you purchased.

That would be against the purchased Dell warranty and Dell policy. Where on our Forum are you seeing this reported?

You can purchase the 180w adapter by clicking the spare parts link below.

The 180w adapter part numbers are listed below.

Please refer to this thread --> https://www.dell.com/community/Inspiron/Dell-7577-DISCHARGING-WHILE-PLUGGED-IN/td-p/5708260/page/2

One of the last few replies are the ones i'm talking about.

It's also mentioned that Dell now sells the 7577 1050ti version (The one I own) with the 180w Adapter because they realized their mistake that 130w Adapter wasn't sufficient enough. and now they're offering free 180w Adapter to whoever was given the 130w one.

I have sent you my information. Meanwhile I've read that article and that really **bleep** for a gaming laptop. Power draining while gaming is a gamer's worst nightmare. I've also been getting some FPS issues while gaming and I think getting a 180w Adapter is the best solution for my problem as it also solved for few other people.

Hello dear moderator,

I would like to inform, that I'm having the same issues described. Some time ago I've read these threads about problems people are having with Dell 7577 and 130w adapter and it seem unsolved apart from people that got new 180w AC, which seems the only thing that solves the problem. I have no issues with battery apart discharging while playing games. This shouldn't happen, especially with a gaming laptop.

Thank you for your reply
