Question about upgrading my Inspiron 3670?

Inspiron 3670

Inspiron 3670

My current set-up is:

Inspiron 3670:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz   2.81 GHz   Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630
Installed RAM 8.00 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Sound, video and game controllers:  Realtek(R) Audio

And for the games I'm wanting to do I need the following set up:

Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4770K / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
Memory: 12GB
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB
HDD Space: 150GB
Sound Card: DirectX compatible

Is it possible to get the Nvidia GeForce GTX and DirectX to work on this one? For some reason  I have to set my graphics to API: VULKAN in game settings and can't use DirectX or the game is unplayable. But is the upgrade possible? Or would it really be better just to get a new computer? I've never done much gaming, so I'm unsure.

Your i5 is fine for gaming but I would suggest 16GB of RAM and the GTX 1060 GPU, or better yet a GTX 1660 or GTX 1650 Super, as most games require a far better video card that the integrated Intel IGPU.

i5-8400 is better processor than 4770k.  no need to go retrograde in cpu spec.

if you want to upgrade cpu, i7-8700 is better
