Inspiron 27-7000, HDMI ports not working
I am grossly disappointed in Dell for creating a valuable function such as the HDMI ports, and not one single instruction on how to use it. No technical support staff has a clue as to how to use it. Has anyone been able to project any other multimedia device unto the Inspiron screen via the HDMI ports?

Inspiron 27 7775 ?
There are 2 HDMI ports on the back of the PC, one for HDMI-in and the other for HDMI-out. You need to connect the source device to HDMI-in (Connect a gaming console, Blu-ray player, or other HDMI-out enabled device) which is port #1 on the back panel; page 13, here.
And then you have to press button #5 (Input-source selection button) on the bottom edge to select the video input source; page 11 at the same link.

instead of complaining
tell the helper what you are attempting to do with any PS4 (Sony PLAY station #4)
the how follows. ( if possible)
ok?
are you talking about the DELL 27 7000 All-in-One (AIO) PC< desktop, be clear what you own.
A PC is an output device only on HDMI,
the exception is the rare, PCs with and HDMI -INPUT port,
the above PC has such a port.
the PS4 must be set up to use that mode of operation, covered in PS4 documents, none that are here.
to quote the AIO manual " here
HDMI-in port (for computers shipped with discrete graphics)
Connect a gaming console, Blu-ray player, or other HDMI-out enabled devices."
end quote."
so it does support it.
do you run windows 10 on this PC?
did you make sure your HDMI GPU driver is fresh , and from Dell, support page for w10? dell.com your PC.
if yes, yes, then make the changes in the driver controls, using the GPU settings. for the HDMI(in) port.
set the port to input display mode. (not sure how, but that must be done)
effectively this turns the AIO PC into a monitor. HDMI monitor. (I guess,)
I'd guess the control panel any DELL like this has Monitor or Display controls , in there is the settings.
others do this, and talk about, it and do note, no 2 PCs setup the same way in this gaming mode
some have secret screenbutton.
seen here.
xps 2700 , Luckily my input selector is located on the bottom front right face.
now I will read to you your very own users manual at dell
the button is on PAGE 14

Hi, I did the instructions you gave from connecting to the HDMI input at the back and the button near the power button at right hand under the screen. It did took me to the HDMI screen but still there is no signal coming from my PS4. I noticed that the HDMI icon has a question mark (?) below it. What does this mean? I'm still in no luck of using my console because of this. I hope you could help me. Thanks a lot.
