How to best watch TV from PC?

Hi,

Usually I buy TV series that I like to watch and don't get any TV reception. But sometimes there are series or seasons of series that don't seem to be available on DVD. Often though it seems you can watch them on something like (not allowed to post possible example) maybe? Some computer based methods anyway. I've tried watching TV from the computer, but the method I'm trying has a very bad picture. On the computer screen it looks great but on the TV is bad. I'm using a Sabrent PC to TV converter box much like the one here. Not having a smart TV I need something that can run through an RCA cable to a switch box, then from there it goes through a VCR and out of the VCR via coax to a little amp box then splits from there to the TV in the living room and the TV in the kitchen. Old and lame as that method is it still provides good clear picture quality so I know those type cables can do the job and that's how I'd like to do it from the computer so I can use the switch boxes to go from the DVD players, or my video camera, or the PC. So can anyone suggest a good way to get the PC signal using RCA cables to the switch box? The audio can run separately from the video. That's how it's going now from the PC through a switch box to a receiver and it does okay, though there is some low hum involved with that.

Thank you for any suggestions on this!

The product you linked does not let you watch TV from PC which what the title of your post says.

It lets you connect PC to TV and use the TV as a second monitor.

Anyway, the way many people turn a regular TV into a "smart" TV is to use a Roku.

The Roku model you will want is the Roku Express+  [ https://www.roku.com/products/roku-express-plus ]

I prefer the Roku to the others of this type.

NTSC Analog TV isn't transmitted anymore.   VGA to NTSC is very low resolution and otherwise very bad picture.

Microsoft removed Windows Media Center from the company's Windows 10 operating system.

They also removed Windows Essentials 2012 and DVD playback.

TV RECORDING AND PLAYBACK REMOVEDTV RECORDING AND PLAYBACK REMOVED

All TV is digital now and most all new computers only have Digital Output aka Display port, HDMI, DVI.

Windows Media Center Went away as did windows movie maker and dvd playback from windows 10.

USB TV tuners work fine with computers.

SMART TV means Ztreeaming from N e t flix and H u l u.

Most all ztreaming services now DO NOT SUPPORT VGA because people were capturing the signal and recording it.

Blueray and most other ztreaming services only work digital with HDCP and do not allow recording.

What you are asking for isn't supported anymore.
