Image Assist and how to deal with drivers?

I'm new to Image Assist. Setting up and creating an image is all pretty straight forward. The part about drivers was confusing. Maybe I missed it in the manual, but I didn't find an explanation how to deal with them. Reading this forum, I found out you simply download the driver family pack and add it to a folder on the USB drive.

Maybe an addition for the manual?

Hi Simon, information can be found in the manual in the Creating a Dynamic Image section. For future needs you can contact the Imaging Service Desk @866-344-0541 email US_OSImaging@Dell.com

Ok, read the manual again and indeed, chapter Create and capture Dynamic image point 9 has a note: NOTE: To automate the restore process, save the dynamic image in the Dell_Images folder, and the driver packs in the Dell_Driver_Packs_Local folder.

Thanks!

There is an older reply that further stipulates that the driver packs need to remain zipped...

@Ron Kierstead I wonder if this is still accurate now. I placed the Dell Family Driver package in a .zip format in that default drivers folder and it still says no valid driver packs detected. I also tried it unzipped and still it just keeps saying this. Any idea what has changed or what I might be doing wrong? Thanks.
