ZFS - Guidelines / Best Practise - Usage
Has anyone come across any guidelines/suggestions for the use of ZFS with DMX (and CLARiiON)
All we have in the Jan ESM is a lot of spurious entries in the notes, stating that "EMC supports ZFS in Solaris 10 11/06 or later. Snapshot and Clone features are supported only through Sun."
I'm more interested in Best Practice for use, as you would expect and get for things like Veritas etc.
Anyone actually using ZFS on an EMC array yet?

I don't have a best practice document but shoudl be able to clarify on the spurious entry in ESM.
The Snapshot and Clone features of ZFS are supported only through Sun. In other words we support EMC array-side solutions but just don't support the snap and clone features included in Sun's ZFS.
i.e. timefinder snap and clone operations are supported with ZFS, but the ZFS internal snap/clone features are not supported by EMC
