Timeout values and BBR for HPUX
Hi there,
I recently been running HEAT reports on various servers in our environment.
On all HPUX servers I've noticed that the HEAT reports that the timeout values for PVs and LVs should be changed.
The same thing for BBR (bad block reallocation). The HEAT requests me to change the value to NONE, instead of OFF or ON.
My servers are working production servers. And I want to know if I can change all the values online without interference to my production?
Thanks,
Maxim

PV timeout can be easily changed online with the pvchange command.
http://docs.hp.com/en/B2355-90681/pvchange.1M.html
pvchange -t 120 /dev/dsk/c2t0d2
I never noticed LV timeout (usually we require you to set PV timeout to at least 120 seconds).
The BBR can be changed with lvchange command
http://docs.hp.com/en/B9106-90008/lvchange.1M.html
lvchange -r n /dev/vg01/lvol1

I can't see nowhere in the links that this is done online.
Are you sure 100%?
I'm mostly afraid for the BBR change.
