Solution Enabler installation on windows Vista

I tried to install using the compability mode and I am getting the same error.

Have you tried installing it using compatibility mode? I'm a bit rusty on my Vista details with older software, but I'm pretty sure there is an option to make an install think it is installing on an older version of Windows.

BTW - depending on what your answer is to the above question, this thread might do better in the forum specific to Solutions Enabler.

I know this isn't really the answer to your question, but it might be more relevant...

What are you trying to accomplish by installing SE on your PC. Is your PC connected to a Symm through an HBA? If not, you wouldn't be able to do much in any case (unless you were going to connect through another instance of SE set up as an API server).

But let's start with what you want to accomplish, and there may be a different way of achieving your goal.

Windows Vista is not an EMC supported Operating system for Solutions Enabler. Compatibility mode is used within Solutions Enabler when a client (in a client/server configuration) has a different version of Solutions Enabler than the server.
