SE/Unix: The gatekeeper device (while using the Base Daemon) has an error

I saw this for the first time on an AIX LPAR last week after zoning FAs from a second DMX.
With commands such as symdev list, it seems that the first DMX ( which is presenting two GKs ) works fine, but the second ( not presenting any GKs ) throws the error.
The error shows even when running as root, so it's clearly not a daemon_users problem.
Haven't added GKs fro the new DMX yet, but I reckon that's the likely answer.
