Setting the offset for windows HP VMs?

We have a machine running HP-UX 11iV3 as a VM host with Windows 2003 VM guests on it. In the past when I've allocated storage to Windows machines we have set the offset when creating the partition. The question is, do I still need to make sure that they set the offset? If so, anyone know how? I've never had the root partition for a windows box be on EMC stroage before.

Thanks,
Christian

I'm a bit confused here. So you're not running VMware ESX, but HP UX and your VM is Windows ? Can you run a Windows VM inside HP UX ? This is new to me.

I would expect you indeed need to align the Windows partition using "diskpart", since they all have the MBR offset of 63 sectors. Best practice is NOT to use the offset in Navisphere.
