Ram Upgrade
Hey,
I have Dell Inspiron 3542 and I am trying to upgrade my RAM. I am running an Intel Core i3-4005U CPU 1.70GHz. Currently, I am using 4gb ram DDR3 in My Lap. I have bought an 8GB DDR4 2666 MHz RAM. Will My laptop support or does my laptop functions perfectly with this RAM?

You cannot use DDR4 RAM in that laptop. That laptop requires DDR3L RAM, up to 1600 MHz speed.
As that laptop has only a single RAM slot, you may remove the existing 4GB RAM stick and install one 8GB DDR3L-1600 stick.
