powerpath viewer
This has been posted in the clariion area, but I was advised to repost here as there is seemingly a higher footfall of powerpath awareness here.
So
I am sticking this here as I cannot find the release notes for powerpath viewer to provide feedback.
Basically I cannot install the management agent on a linux box because the version of powerpath appears to be beyond the version supported, ie
[root@alinuxserver EMC]# rpm -U EMCpower.MgmtComponent.LINUX-5.3.2.00.00-058.RHEL5.x86_64.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
EMCpower.LINUX < 5.4 is needed by EMCpower.MgmtComponent.LINUX-5.3.2.00.00-058.x86_64
[root@alinuxserver EMC]# rpm -qa | grep E
libICE-1.0.1-2.1
Xaw3d-1.5E-10.1
MAKEDEV-3.23-1.2
EMCpower.LINUX-5.5.0.00.00-275
libICE-1.0.1-2.1
[root@alinuxserver EMC]#
Note the management agent needs powerpath to be less then 5.4 and I am running 5.5
Is there a link to prerequesites in terms of powerpath version ?
Is this a rpm recreation issue or is there something more fundimental in the difference between 5.4 and 5.5 ?

Alas for the release notes, I get an error message – Access Violation - when trying to view them,ie see atttachment
I see you posted similiar before (https://community.emc.com/message/390420 ) and appreciate the feedback. From a general login to powerlink, under Technical documents, under Powerpath family should it be there or somewhere else, if so can you tell me where to navigate to find this.
Tks.

Hi. The version of PowerPath for Linux will determine the required management component code. There are 3 gzip files on Powerlink:
http://powerlink.emc.com/km/appmanager/km/secureDesktop?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=servicesDownloadsTemplatePg&internalId=0b014066805be195&_irrt=true
All PowerPath Release Notes can be found here:

I hope this helps.
Thanks, Brion
