Fabrizio,

Firstly, please consider moving this question to the proper forum for maximum visibility.  Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and questions can go unanswered for a long time.  You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the right.  Then search for and select: "Host Systems Support Forum" which would be the most relevant for this question.

To answer your question, the definitive guide is the E-Lab Interoperability Navigator.

1) https://elabnavigator.emc.com/do/navigator.jsp

2) Then simply:

a) Plug in your configuration using either "Advanced Query" or "Solutions and Wizard"

b) Or you can get the full dump for the month's results related to AIX from the "PDFs and Guides" tab then under: "ESM by Operating System  &  EMC Host Connectivity Guides" selecting the PDF (or ZIP) icon for IBM AIX under the ESM header

NOTE: While on this page, you will want to download a copy of the AIX Host Connectivity Guide which is linked to (via the PDF or ZIP icon) under the Guide header

3) Once you find the results specific to your environment, you will notice a column: "Requires Minimum EMC ODM Fileset Support".

4) Finally, you can then find the ODM filesets in the following link:

ftp://ftp.emc.com/pub/elab/aix/ODM_DEFINITIONS/

5) You will want to read the corresponding README files in the following order:

a) README.1st

b) Then once you read that, view the README specific to the version you seek: README.5303, README.5304, or README.5305, etc.

Now another strategy you can employ is to run a host grab utility, and generate an E-Lab Advisor Report which will query the ESM (EMC Support Matrix) for you and compare it to the host configuration:

1) Obtain and run the EMC host grab utility

ftp://ftp.emc.com/pub/emcgrab/Unix/

2) Upload output and generate said report:

https://elabadvisor.emc.com/app/upload/form

3) Review for any warnings (color coded) and remediate

Fabrizio,

I simply wanted to follow-up with you to make sure you get the best possible experience from the forums and the community of dedicated customers, partners, and EMC employees that are eager to assist.

1) As suggested, please consider relocating this post so that it gets maximum visibility and therefore assures that you get the most (quality and quantity) feedback by the community.  The most relevant support community for this question would be: "Host Systems Support Forum".  Here is a recent post providing detailed instructions on how to accomplish this:

EMC Community Network Frequently Asked Questions

2) If answered please also mark as such, so that it may help others that seek the same advice
